Born on 5-Jan-1999 in Thanjavur, India, and currently lives in Chennai. Enjoys playing Chess, chess, and more chess at time in cricket, cycling and yoga too.
At the age of 10 Karthi started playing chess and just after 2 years later he began to compete professionally. He won the World Youth U-12 Champion in 2011 (Brazil), World Youth U-16 Champion in 2013 (Dubai), International Master (IM) in 2013, Indian Champion in 2015, Grand Master (GM) in 2015.
He became the One of the Youngest Grand Masters in India after Participating in 60 International Events, 57 National events, 76 State events after winning over 15 Grand Masters, International Masters after playing over than 1770 individual games and getting more than 25 gold Medals, 5 bronze medals, 5 silver medals, etc.
Karthi was recognized for his aggressive style of attack. He’s looking forward to what’s ahead and continuing his successful career as a professional chess player.
